Brooms & Brews - 'Try Curling' Event
Only $25 (+HST) for an evening of FUN!
Participants age 19+ Only
During the first hour, our coaches will be on the ice to provide instruction and help you get started. During the second hour, everyone will be split into teams of 4 and play a short just-for-fun game against one another.
After the on-ice activities, it’s time to warm up with a beverage! Join us in the clubhouse lounge for socializing, something that curlers do very well. The bar is stocked with various bottled, draft and craft beers, wine, liquor, cider, coolers, and various non-alcoholic drinks such as hot chocolate and soft drinks.
You MUST register online in advance, accept the terms of our waiver and pay.
You can sign up and pay one at a time, or if you have a group of 2 to 4 friends or family, register as a group. Whoever registers the group must pay for everyone in that group (only those who will be curling need to register).
A few things to note before arriving:
- Aim to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to start time.
- Carry in a clean pair of indoor rubber soled shoes with absolutely no dirt or sand on the bottom. You cannot wear the street shoes, that you wore to this event, on the ice.
- Arrive dressed to curl wearing warm, layered, loose-fitting clothing.
- Gloves are a good idea.
- Hang your coat and change your shoes in one of our locker rooms, not in the lounge.
- Brooms and all other necessary equipment will be provided.
